Balancing color with color wheels
- Earlier, we took a look at split toning, but I want to revisit the color wheels. They're quite important when working with different types of imagery, particularly if there's a color cast. Let's open this up here, and what we want to explore is how we can get better-looking images. This second image, I really like the overall skin tones and the crispness of the white and blacks. In this case, I am going to check the box for face detection. Face detection is going to analyze that there's a person. Put a little bit of blue into the shadows, and you see the change. Let's mark face detect and it's going to be a little bit more aware that there's a face there, and affect it as such, particularly, if we use the mid-tones here. I could bring this out and really get nice, Now, looking at the background, I see that it needs to be a little less yellow, and move away from yellow. And you see by doing that, but the background and the shadows are nice and cool with crisp whites and blacks,…
