- When I get ready for a multi-camera shoot, there's a lot of different things that go through my mind. The first is, I really want to understand the tone of the production. It's important, during a multi-camera production, that you bring that sense of energy to it. But, what's the energy supposed to be? - Is it something that's going to be activity-based, or fairly standard, stable in one place? - Is this a somber event, is it jovial, is it a comedy? Is this a concert? That may even affect things like, if the cameras are going to move, or if they're locked-off shots. So, really understanding the genre and sort of the pacing or feel, that's something that's pretty important right away. - There's a couple questions I always start asking myself before I start producing a multi-camera shoot. One, location. Are we going to be in a studio? Are we going to be in a controlled environment? Are we going to be in the field somewhere where we don't have a lot of control on audio? Because that…
