- This next update is quite useful to me, it's support for the BRAW format or Blackmagic RAW. This is the newer RAW format used by Blackmagic's cameras including the popular Pocket Cinema Camera. This gives you a lot of flexibility for shooting RAW files and offers several different options that are somewhat condensed in file size, thanks to compression. Now, in order to get this, it's not actually available from Adobe, you need to go to the Blackmagic website. You just need to visit Blackmagic support page and you'll find a download there available for RAW version 1.5. What's cool about this is once you have it installed, you'll find support available inside of Premiere Pro. Let's make this tab a little bigger and go to the media browser and we'll navigate out to some footage.
