- [Instructor] Before we get into the really advanced editing techniques, let's make sure we're really clear about the fundamentals. And that means three-point edits, and reverse three-point edits. First of all, I'm in this number three core editing sequence. And, I have a clip open in the source monitor. This is the waves.MP4 clip. That's inside the mixed media bin. I'm going to double click on the video one track header to resize it a little shorter, so we can see more tracks. With the source monitor active, I get the available tracks listed here on the left in the timeline panel. If I drag straight into the timeline panel, as I'm doing now, it doesn't really matter. I scroll over here, it doesn't really matter what my track patching is, or what's going on in my timeline panel. Track selection buttons, that's this right-hand vertical stack of buttons, have absolutely no impact on editing clips into a sequence. They…
