- MPEG4 files usually with the h dot 264 codec, work perfectly well natively to put video files on the web. These would be played in a plug-in like QuickTime or a player like VLC. Let me show you how to make these files. I'm here in Media Encoder, and I've imported a timeline. And actually, by default, a pretty useful preset has come in. So this is the h dot 264 format and matched source high bit rate. And just to dig a little bit deeper into this, remember that h dot 264 is a specific codec specification inside of the MPEG4 family. So there is an MPEG4 choice, but it's at h dot 264 that you get the really useful preset choices. So we'll leave it on h dot 264 and we'll just take a look at these. And all of these up top are gonna be really useful for exporting to the web. So high bit rate is gonna be good, high quality. If that file is too large, you can go to medium bit rate, and then there's also adaptive choices, high, medium, and low. And my best recommendation on these is to try…
