Create image sequences

- Adobe Media Encoder is capable of exporting image sequences. That's literally taking a video file and exporting a single image as a separate file for every frame and these are numbered so that they can be reassembled. There used to be a lot of purposes for this, because a lot of programs didn't have strong integration and couldn't accept the same codecs and wrappers that you were editing with. So you might export an image sequence just to go into a graphics program. You still may do this sometimes, if you're working with still images and need to manipulate them a lot and if you're doing a high end function like printing digital film, it could facilitate that process by printing off the actual frames that need to be burned by say, a laser machine. However, as I said, a lot of the integration and inner operability has been improved, so you might be able to deliver, say a QuickTime file in many of these cases.
