Editing footage in Photoshop

- Photoshop gives you the ability to also open up video clips. Now, depending upon the file format, you might need to convert it so it's ready to open in Photoshop. To do this, select a piece of footage that you'd like to work with. I suggest you do this right inside the Project panel. Let's select our background layer here, and I'll choose Render and Replace. Now I can generate a new video file. QuickTime format's going to work well inside of Photoshop. I'll use the 10-bit option here. I'm going to choose to stick this into the Renders folder, and click OK. Now, it renders out a new video file. Now, if it's already in the QuickTime format, you should also be able to easily hand that off to Premier Pro. But what you're going to want to have is a video file that's ready to open, preferably in the QuickTime format with a codec that's recognized by your computer. As soon as this is done, we can reveal it in the Finder and then open it in Photoshop. There we go, it's swapped out. Let's…
