Embedding captions in an export with Adobe Premiere Pro
- With captions you may want to choose to embed them into the file. There is a couple of different ways of doing this. The first step after you feel that the captions and video are properly aligned, ease to choose File, Export, Media. This will bring up the export settings window. Now, choose a format. For example, perhaps I wanted to make a self-contained, high-quality movie. I could choose something like QuickTime and then pick a format such as GoProCineform 12-bit or 10-bit. Now keep in mind that this is meant as an archive format and something that can be used for broadcasting. You'll notice down here that there's a tab for captions. When you click it you'll see different options. Now, in this particular case you'll see that the choice is to burn them into the video or to create a separate Sidecar file. Well, let's choose a different format. I'm gonna go with something that's widely used for broadcasting, the DNXHR or DNXHD MXF format. And you'll see here that it automatically…
