- There are many previsualization tools that editors can use to get acquainted with the footage, the production experience, and the general plan for the story of the film. We're going to be taking a look at a couple of previous materials, including the film treatment, the storyboard, and the shot list. All of which are tools for the production team for the shoot. We'll also take a look at the camera report and the shoot notes, which tell us how everything actually went on the shoot, shot for shot. Now, most films certainly also have a script, but this one doesn't, because it's very short, and doesn't have dialogue. But if you want more practice editing a scene using a script, you can check out any of the narrative scene editing courses in the Lynda.com library.
