- One of the nice things about Adobe Media Encoder is it makes exporting for common mobile devices, like Android, iPhone, and iPad extremely easy with the presets it provides. Let's take a look at how this works. So here we are in Media Encoder, and I've got a timeline in the queue, and for mobile devices we do wanna start with the h.264 setting, but then we wanna look under the presets, and we've got a few that are specific for mobile devices, and you can see that the only real difference is the resolution. So we have mobile devices at standard definition, 720 HD, 1080 HD, and then 4K for mobile devices. So we would choose one of these, I'm gonna think in most cases it's gonna be either your 720 or your 1080, and remember, besides quality there's also implications here for file size. So if you're tryna load your iPad up with a buncha movies or somethin', and a lot of content to watch, you might choose 720, giving up some of the resolution in favor of getting more to fit on your…
