- In this chapter, we're going to start to take a look at a few 360 camera options right here in studio. And first on our list is the Samsung Gear 360 (2017). The New York Times actually used the Gear (2016) for their daily 360 stories in 2017, and this transported you to locations, and experiences around the world. So let's start to take a look at this camera right here in studio. Here's the 2017, and just to let you know, one thing that I think about this is that it kind of screams little bit of a selfie stick, but and has a futuristic look to it. What I don't like about that is that when you start to film with 360 cameras, you really want to keep in mind the idea of potentially not moving at that much, depending on your situation. But what I do like about it is it's extremely portable, the packaging was awesome, and this small of device, actually films in 4k. Even better, you can operate this with your iPhone.
