Formats and presets
- When you first start the export process from Premiere Pro, you will see at the top of the export settings panel, a dropdown menu for formats and presets. These formats, also known as wrappers, can include information other than the video and audio information, such as chapter markers, subtitles, metadata, and more. Go ahead and open the Premiere Pro project, and open the sequence named 2.1 formats and presets. Now select the sequence and choose file, export, media. Or us the shortcut control-M, which is command-M on the Mac. Now we see the export settings panel. Let's look at the export settings, and let's go through some of the most common formats and presets. Please keep in mind that you can create your own presets if you do not see what you need. Let's go ahead and change the format to an Apple ProRes MXF OP1a. This is a ProRes codec in an MXF wrapper.
