H.264 for Blu-ray

- Blu-ray Discs can handle a couple different types of video formats. They can use the older MPEG-2 format, but they can also play back the newer H.264 format. I wanna take a look at making those H.264 for Blu-ray files. But keep in mind when we're using disc-based media we're just creating the file output that still needs to go into an authoring program to make the actual Blu-ray Disc. Let's see how we make those files. I'm here in Media Encoder and I have a test file queued up. I wanna go into my Format selection and choose H.264 for Blu-ray. This is similar to our H.264 setting, except the presets will be specifically designed for high definition Blu-ray use. So here you see all of the presets match standard high definition formats. 720p at different frame rates. 1080i and 1080p at common frame rates.
