Laying the foundation
- Okay so we've gotten acquainted with our shots and we've looked at the script and have developed a general strategy. Now let's begin laying in our shots to build the foundation of this dialogue scene. So we'll just be laying everything in in the right order to create our first assembly and we wont worry too much about timing or pacing yet alright. And we wont worry about inserting our reaction shots or cutaways yet. That comes later when we refine. For now, we're just going to get the best raw materials in the right order to tell the story. Alright so we know from our script that we're going to begin with our A2 shots as Joe is coming into the coffee shop. So I'm going to come up to my Scene A Happy bin and I'm going to switch over to my Assembly workspace so that I can see everything. And this limits our real estate in the timeline now but that's okay, when we really dig in and start editing and trimming our shots we'll switch back to our editing workspace.
