Laying the foundation

- Alright so we're ready to start laying the foundation for our third and last scene, the awkward scene of tension. We'll just being laying everything in without focusing too much on our cut aways or rhythm we're pacing yet. And again we know that most of the shots are pretty identical in composition, but we'll be using an even different recipe of editing decisions to end up with a different result. Alright so rather than beginning with editing our first few shots of Joe walking into the coffee shop, I'm going to cut to this sequence here, where I've already laid everything in. That way we can really hit the ground running with our actual dialogue. So let me play this for you, (footsteps) (cars passing by) Alright so as you can see this is really similar to drawing out those moments of hesitancy that we used in the sad scene.
