- [Instructor] So when it comes to composition and layout, there are a few things you wanna keep in mind. To lay out and have your text composed with your video image. The first thing that you wanna always ask yourself, is what do you want your viewer to focus on? One way of helping you align where text could be placed within your frame, is to follow the rule of thirds, and while other applications such as Photoshop and After Effects have grids that you can enable, to go by these rules, Premiere does not by default inside the program monitor. So what we want to do is actually create a grid, and how we'll do that is from the Project Panel. I'm gonna go to the New Item menu and choose to create an Adjustment Layer. This Adjustment Layer which will show up in my Project Panel I'll bring into my Timeline, and drag it out so it's the length of my text and my video. By going to my Effects tab by pressing Shift + 7, you can do a search for Grid and under the Generate category of Video…
