Loading footage into Final Cut Pro X
- Now let's take a look at Final Cut Pro X which takes a slightly different approach to editing than Premiere Pro, but the core concepts that you've learned about multi-camera editing are still pretty much the same. To start, I've launched Final Cut Pro X and I've got my library over here. You could choose to make a new library for purposes of this editing project. I'm going to call this lynda_MultiCam, and click Save. Now at this point, it automatically put today's date, and gives me the option to start to load some stuff up. What I'm going to do is import my media. So I'll click the button here, and navigate to my footage. Now earlier, I copied my footage to a Drobo which was a rated drive connected via USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt but you can use any high speed editing drive, or if you don't have that option, you can work off of a fast, internal drive or SSD.
