Loading footage into Premiere Pro
- Now that we've got our footage organized on our hard drive let's move into an editing application. I'm going to start with Adobe Premiere Pro and the first step, of course, is getting the project launched and ingesting. After launching Premiere Pro, you'll be greeted by the new project dialogue. What you're going to want to do is browse and choose a location where you're going to store that file. I'll go onto my Drobo drive here and simply make a new folder called Smoothies. And then choose that folder. Let's name the project, Smoothies_V1. You can choose to work with the Mercury Playback Engine if you'd like to accelerate footage. I'm going to stick with Software Only for now. And the rest of the settings here are fine because we're not capturing any particular video. Next, check the Scratch Disks and you'll see that any of the rendered files such as Previews and Captured Audio is going to go to the same place as the project. So that's fine.
