[Narrator] So far, we've looked at a lot of different ways to make constant speed changes. Now let's take a look at how to make variable speed changes, like if we want to start out in real time and then slow something down, or speed something up. All right. I'm going to come to my first green marker here, and we've seen this series of shots before. This is Esther cutting the bread and giving it to the toddler. - [Esther] Lovely. Good bread is good for you. (orchestral music) We are a very, very small-- - [Narrator] So, we like the beginning of this where she's cutting the bread and we like the end of it where the toddler's taking the bread and eating it. But, the middle took too long. And the way we solved it here is that we simply cut out the middle. So we're cutting from one shot to the next.
