- [Instructor] Almost all visual effects in Premier Pro can be masked. That means the results of the effect can be constrained to within a specific region in the image. And the Opacity effect is no exception. I'm in the Mask video or effects sequence and I have the Excuse Me clip in the timeline. And right now, I'm looking in the Effect controls panel. Under the Opacity effect heading you can see we've got three buttons. These allow you to apply a Mask to the effect. And actually, you can add multiple masks and you can have them intersect and interact in different ways. Because this is the Opacity effect, adding a mask is going to set regions as Transparent. So I'll choose the four point polygon mask as an example. And right away, you see the results in the program monitor.
