Measuring perceived loudness in LKFS, part 1

- Now that we've gone over LKFS and we understand what perceived volume actually is, how do we measure that in our session in Premiere? How do we measure LKFS and compare it to our meters and figure out how to meet those specs that we just talked about? How do we actually know while we're mixing, what we're doing? So, there's a few techniques that you can do to help you, and let's go ahead and jump into Premiere, and show you what some of those techniques are. Now, when you're mixing it's a good idea to go ahead and set your voices, so that you understand where they are. 'Cause the voice is primarily the backbone of your story, and will sit where you're going to get your LKFS. And so if you set your voice at a certain level and understand the correlation to LKFS, then you'll start to understand where you need to be to hit your spec.
