Noise gate

- Sometimes, you want to delete or totally mute the sound when the noise or the audio levels get to a certain level. So the effect that you need to accomplish this, in other words to mute unwanted, quieter noises is called a noise gate. And this is really a convenient way to get rid of breaths or other unwanted sounds that may happen during recording. In Premier, go ahead and open sequence 3.5 noise gate. You can now add the dynamics effect to the clip that is in the timeline. So lets go into the effects panel, type d-y-n, and you're going to see the dynamics effect here. You can use the obsolete one, but we won't. Lets go ahead and use the regular dynamics one and apply it to the clip. If you go into the effect controls panel, you're going to see that they now make effect right there at the bottom of the audio settings, and you can click on the edit button.
