Performing the first edit

- Now that we've got everything set up, it's time to do the actual first edit. Now, this process is a real-time process most likely, although you can play back the sequence at an accelerated rate if it was something like an interview with fewer cuts that you could clearly switch between the different sources. For a concert, you kind of have to go by feel. Now, I was at this shoot, and I'm familiar with the song, so I already have it in my head a bit where the edit points are going to be. I've got a good sense of rhythm, and I could feel the music. But if you're not familiar with the content, you might want to watch it a few times before you do the initial edit. In any case, I'm going to do the edit, and invite you to watch this first time through. I'm not going to talk a lot, because I'm actually going to make the edit.
