- You'll notice now that the ingest is done. Let's switch back to Premiere. Now, what we can do is, continue to work with the high resolution media, and this is fine. Let's go ahead and also Save a Copy of this project here. And I'm going to save the project file to that portable hard drive. There we go. Now, what happens is this, if we're in Premiere Pro, we have the ability under our Preferences to decide what material to use. If I go here under my media preferences, you'll see that I can switch on over to enabling proxies, and click OK. Now, the media swaps into the proxy workflow. Additionally, you can also switch to this here by adding a button for proxies. Let's drag that in. And now I have a dedicated button to switch between the original and the proxy media as I work. Now, this gives us some great flexibility here as we're editing. For example, if you only had the proxy material available, because you left the full resolution media back at the office, you can continue to work.…
