Refining a selection to avoid jitter

- As you work with secondary adjustments, particularly with a moving shot, jitter is quite possible. This is caused by things changing in the scene. What you don't want is flicker, or a hard edge between the affected and unaffected areas. The more aggressive you get, the more you're going to need to soften that selection. Let's open up one more sequence here. I'll go to the project and open up 5.3. Here, I really like this end state. Darker, richer blacks and brighter greens for the foreground. The beginning just doesn't work for me. I'll start by making a selection. I'll click with the eye dropper and click on a target like the shadow. Choosing color and gray, you can see more. If you want to, use the plus eye dropper to add more material. I'll just say plus and I'll click. And I can even drag through to affect more of an area. So now we did pretty well. Let's view that as white over black. There we go. We'll feather that a little bit. And roll it towards the foreground to better…
