- [Instructor] When rendering your movie out to give to a film festival, they will usually tell you which formats they accept. However, if they don't tell you, and some of the smaller festivals might neglect to post that info, there are a few standards that you can reliably use. First of all, as we'll talk about in the final course in this series, you'll usually submit a version of your film, called a screener, that can be viewed online. This is usually done through a website like Withoutabox. This is the version of your film that the festival organizers will watch to determine if your film will be accepted into their festival or not. Because it's usually an online submission, you typically use the ever-popular H.264 compression method for that, but that's just a low quality version so they can see if your film was accepted into the festival or not.
