Restoring the correct saturation

- As you work with footage, it may have a problem with the intensity of color. This is referred to as saturation. Generally what happens is as you adjust exposure or tone, color is affected. If you make a shot brighter, it becomes washed out and it loses color details. If you make a shot darker, the saturation tends to go up. So depending upon how you manipulate the shot, you may need to adjust saturation, or vibrance. Let's go to the next sequence here. And if we take a look at the shot here, you'll see that this looks pretty good. It's the shot we were working with before, but the second instance of a shot is a little bit different. In this case, I'm going to play with the global saturation. So if I bring the saturation control up, the overall color gets more intense. If I bring it down, it globally affects the shot. But this should be viewed, taking a look at the Vectorscope. And what I want to be careful of, as I adjust saturation, is trying to minimize the colors getting too far…
