- [Instructor] There are several ways to review your original footage in Premiere Pro, and it's worth just taking a look at some of these because they do occasionally get missed. I'm going to expand this mixed media bin here. This has got quite a few different shots in it and if I double click to open up one of these clips in the source monitor, I can scrub through, I can press play and I can use J K and L to play forwards and backwards. But very often you're going to find it's not really necessary to use the source monitor at all. And I know that this is in contradiction of years of advice from me about monitoring your footage, and I have to add the caveat that it's really important to view your shots as well as you can. And so for example, I would go full screen with the source monitor and try to get a one-to-one scale view if I can.
