Saving creative corrections as a Look

- If you've been working inside of Premiere, you've likely encountered Lookup tables or LUTS. Premiere has two types of LUTS that it can work with. Under the basic section is a standard LUT and this is typically a .cube file, but other formats are supported. These can be easily exchanged between programs and work outside of Adobe apps. But within Adobe apps, we can add a few extra features and this is referred to as a look. Let's open up Sequence 3.7 and what I've done here is I've stylized the shot a bit. If we take a look at this, I can see that there's been some correction applied. Basic correction, plus under the Creative section, a little bit of a film look. And some sharpening. Change to saturation. Let's tweak the faded film. I'll put a little bit more blues there into the shadows. I like this. And we can take advantage of the vignette. Maybe a little darker. And adjust the feather. Now, from the pop-up menu, I can choose to export a .look file. This is a LUT, but does add the…
