Setting up and configuring an HMD

- In late 2017, Apple released its first VR-ready computer, the iMac Pro. Its power allows users to connect a head-mounted display to Final Cut Pro 10 with the help of SteamVR. In this movie, I want to show you how you can use the HTC Vive to view your 360 content in Final Cut. So in the last two movies, we created a Final Cut Pro 10 library, and we brought in some 360 material, which we created some proxies with. We got a sense for where we could go inside the inspector to see our 360 metadata associated with clips, as well as we went to our View menu to bring up our 360 degree viewer, where we turned on some overlays from the Settings menu and played around with the field of view on our clips. Now in this movie, it's all about setting up a head-mounted display on an iMac Pro to have an optimal 360 experience. And the head-mounted display in particular is the HTC Vive for the iMac Pro. With the help of Steam software, in particular an application called SteamVR, we can sync this up…
