- When we're shooting video on a DSLR or a mirrorless camera it's important to realize that these cameras originally were designed for stills, in photographs. So there are some settings you're going to have to tweak from where you normally would shoot. - Matt, what's the very first step that we have to do? - Chris, it's pretty obvious, but the first thing we're going to have to do is change it from photo mode into what they call movie mode. So let me go ahead and do that. I'm going to push the mode button on this camera and I'm going to switch it to video and you can see now we're in video mode because the image is also changed to a 16:9 widescreen format. - And you may notice that the zoom level or magnification may change depending upon the camera. Sometimes the framing that you see when if photo mode to video mode switches with just that mode dial even if you haven't adjusted the lens. So, you may need to recompose the…
