Strategies for load out
- After a long day of shooting, load out sounds pretty good. The challenge, though, is that this is the time that people start to get a little careless. When we loaded out of the location, it was a very coordinated effort. First off, we finished shooting upstairs with a scene that only involved some of the crew. This allowed other crew members to start to break equipment down, and put it back into cases. We, also, then made sure as we loaded out that people were keeping an eye out for creating problems, or bumping into things. A lot of times, it's good to assign a production assistant, or someone else on your crew to serve as a spotter. We had a lot of pretty big lighting equipment. Big stands, bars, all sorts of things that could easily have put a hole in something, or knocked a TV over. It's important that you don't rush.
