Subclipping shots
- [Instructor] Let's talk about how to preserve our marked portions of our shots by creating subclips. All right, so I'm in my 4.2 bin and in Master Clips I'm going to load this shot right here. Esther_interview_good bread is good for you. Okay? And we've actually seen this before, and we've already marked this portion of the shot. I'll go 'head and give it a play from in to out to remind us of what she says. That's Option + K on a Mac or Ctrl + Shift + Spacebar on a PC. - I love bread. Good bread is really lovely. Good bread is good for you. - [Instructor] All right, now instead of editing that straight into a sequence, let's preserve this portion and make a subclip. And I do that by coming up to Clip, Make Subclip, or Command + U or Ctrl + U on a PC. All right, and here's the Make Subclip dialog box. By default, it's named the same thing as the clip except it's appended with a subclip and then a number. All right…
