System Compatibility Report v.2.0
- One of the changes in Adobe Premiere Pro 2020, that you might not necessarily see is the system compatibility report. It's been upgraded to version two. Essentially, what happens is this the combination of your operating system, plus any drivers that you have can really affect the performance of Premiere Pro, as well as its stability. So, when you launch the application it's going to quickly scan through your system, look at information about the operating system and any drivers you have for video, audio, and networking. If it's found that there's a problem with the component that's going to cause a conflict, you'll be notified with the system compatibility report dialog box and it will list the conflicts. Now, this feature is based upon a blacklist so it doesn't actually profile your system, it just compares your system against a particular list that's known problems.
