- Sometimes when you work with a project, you may find yourself wanting to hand off the material. But, in another format. Perhaps you use a variety of material, or you may recall that Adobe Premiere Pro is very flexible with the media coming from most cameras. Meaning that you can work natively without transcoding it. But maybe you want to hand off to another editor, and they're working on a system that prefers trans coding media. Or you need to archive things and the standard calls for files to be in something like Apple ProRes. Well, this feature is also built into the media manager. Let me show you. Let's close the last project we were working with. And I'll continue to work with this original project here. I'll invoke the project manager from the file menu. And in this case we'll go again with just one sequence. Instead of the option here to just collect, I'ma choose consolidate and transcode. This lets me choose a new file format.
