Trimming media to reduce file size for collaboration
- Sometimes when you work with a project, you may want to hand off certain parts of a project. Maybe you don't need everything. Maybe you just want what was used in the sequence. For example, if I was sending the project over to an audio person to do some sweetening or I wanted to bundle it up and hand it off to a colorist so they can work on my project, well, I wouldn't need to give them all of the clips, just what was used in the Timeline. In this way, we can choose to trim a project down and remove the clips that weren't used. This method, however, will include the entire clips, in general, so it's going to keep the materials that we captured and make sure that those edits are preserved for flexibility. Let me show you how it works. Back here in Premiere Pro, let's close the project we were just working with, and we'll go back to our original stage one project. I'll now invoke the Project Manager.
