Troubleshooting: Your video looks good in some parts but not others

- Sometimes, making the file size smaller is not good enough, and you run into the problem that some parts of your video will look good, while others will not. This is usually because of different-looking scenes in your videos. Some scenes will look better than others under the same compression, usually depending on texture and complexity of the image. So, some scenes of your video will need to be compressed differently than others. There are some things that you could do in production to help you with this. If you know that you will be compressing using a GOP compression scheme and variable bit-rate, then try to avoid fast-moving shots, especially pans. Moving shots are hard to encode using GOP compression because the image changes too much in between iframes. You can alleviate that by either cutting instead of moving or by simply moving slower.
