Using the exercise files

- The best way to learn about color correction and color grading is to actually do it. And that's why I've put together a vast variety of hands-on exercise files to bring this course to life. I strongly encourage you to download these files. This is going to help you learn about a variety of issues and how to really see problems and opportunities when working with footage. This footage comes from a variety of cameras and sources, some of it professional, some of it shot by amateurs. My suggestion is that you pull this down and use these files to follow along. Feel free to pause the video or watch the clip and then go back and practice, but in any case you'll learn a lot more if you try to do this. Some of the techniques are super simple. Some of them may take a couple of tries. But I encourage you to get hands on so you can learn this. If you're working with the project files and you have any issues where the screen isn't redrawing correctly, take a look at this one setting. You may want to go under your File, Project Settings, General and take a look at the Renderer. Depending upon your application and platform you may want to switch between the different Mercury Playback options. If you're getting any visual errors on the screen just try switching which Mercury Playback Engine you're working with. When you click OK the screen should update and show you the correct results. So be sure to explore that option if you encounter any bugs. The footage is provided to you for educational use only. So feel free to use the footage for the purpose of this class. But afterwards, I ask that you discard it and don't use this in any other productions or post the clips online. All right, once you've downloaded the footage and have a current version of Premiere Pro loaded you're ready to get started.
