Using a panoramic photo as a camera map

- If you need to create an environment, there is a dedicated effect called, Environment inside of After Effects that can be quite useful. This works best if you have a spherical panorama or a piece of VR footage. But you can still use it with still images as well. Here's how it works. Now, I've opened up a new interim file. So make sure that you open up the same file here, 7_BackdropB, so that you can follow along. And let's go to the Camera Map Start project. In this case, what we have is an HDR image that is a spherical shot. You can see it wraps around from one edge to the rest, creating a full environment. This one is from VizPeople, and they make a lot of environments that are used for gaming and 3D modeling. Now, I've got my Footage layer with my reporter, and it's fine. They're in the environment, but it's just static. What I want to do is add another layer here. So Layer, New, Solid. And we'll put that behind the reporter.
