- If you need a transcript, in other words a text record of what was said in a video, well this can be prepared by an outside company. Transcripts are often created for a few purposes. One of those is to help producers and clients review longer interviews and select the pieces that they want to use. This also has some great real-world applications because it can help the editor quickly find content or locate the sound bytes that people are interested in.
