- If you need a transcript, in other words a text record of what was said in a video, well this can be prepared by an outside company. Transcripts are often created for a few purposes. One of those is to help producers and clients review longer interviews and select the pieces that they want to use. This also has some great real-world applications because it can help the editor quickly find content or locate the sound bytes that people are interested in. Some transcripts include timecode information. Others are simply text. One way to get this done is to work with an outside vendor. There are many different companies available worldwide that provide this service. The cost is gonna vary greatly based on a few factors. One, do you have multiple voices?
