When to key in After Effects

- After Effects has a rich history as a key component of work flows for both the visual effects and motion graphics industry. And Chroma King has been long a part of that. Built into After Effects are several great tools. And, in fact, we'll take advantage of what used to be a third party plug-in, but has been licensed and is bundled with After Effects. A tool called Keylight, and it's been used on numerous Hollywood movies, and has won multiple Academy Awards. Let me give you a quick overview of some of the benefits here. You'll see here that we have two versions of the project: Where to Key Start and Where to Key End. And you'll notice that it's done a great job on the transparency. If we punch in here at 100 percent, look at how well it's handled all the small hairs along the edge of the head. Now, let me show you this, and we'll take a look at how to build it.
