Why language matters
- There's a lot of specific terminology and vocabulary when it comes to outputs and those types of files. Things like bitrate and codec and a lot of words you may not be totally familiar with, and you may say, "Well I don't need to be "that familiar with them, just show me how it's done", but I would actually make the case that using the proper vocabulary is important when it comes to these technologies. A few reasons that is, is that it will help you, when you're inside the interface, to know what you're looking at and looking for. It will definitely help you when you're looking at specifications, if a broadcaster sends out a white sheet that outlines exactly what they need in their output, or if you're looking up the latest output recommended settings on YouTube. It'll also help you on your teams, communicating better exactly what you need and what changes to make.
