Why shoot Raw video?

- Raw video is something you may not have encountered before. Now, raw video means that you're capturing everything to the file that the sensor sees. Or perhaps a slightly compressed version of raw. Some manufacturers will have a compact raw format that gives you most of the benefits of raw with a reduced file size. The real advantage of raw is that it gives you a ton of information. You're not baking in things like white balance, and you can really re-expose the shot after the fact. The downside is that the file sizes are pretty huge and could be cumbersome on a lot of systems, requiring a lot of processing power and a lot of hard disk space. But for purposes of this course, I want you to be exposed to raw to see how flexible it is when it comes to working with it. You'll find two clips, and I want to show you a couple of techniques.
