Working with the Luma vs. Saturation Curve

- Our next curve is Luma versus Saturation. This allows you to target a brightness area, and then affect the saturation of that area. Essentially targeting something based on how light or dark it is, but affecting the intensity of color. In our shot here, I want to go after a particular area, the shadows. They're just not colorful enough. So I'm going to click with the eyedropper to make a selection. You see it adds a control point. There is no scroll bar on this one because it reads from left to right. This is dark, this is bright. Much like if this were a histogram. So now, what I can do is pull up the saturation in the shadows. Let's add another point here in the middle and put a bit of a gentle roll off. You see a nice increase there in saturation. It's subtle, but it is welcome. Let's bring this up just a little more so you can really see it. And now the shadows there, you really notice that are coming in nicely.
