Working with adjustment layers and nests
- [Instructor] We've talked about how to apply effects directly to the clips in your sequence, as well as how to copy effects to other clips and how to create presets. However sometimes it can really be advantageous to apply effects to a layer above your clips, called an Adjustment Layer, or you might like to combine all of your clips in one nest and apply effects to that. Each has their own advantages, so we'll discuss that in this movie. All right, so I have our montage here, copied twice, and then at the very beginning I have a clip where we've applied the effects to, which we've been working with in the previous few movies. So I'm just going to select this clip and then open up Effect Controls and remind us exactly what effects we're dealing with. We have the Auto Contrast, we have a Black & White filter that is currently turned off, we've applied a golden tint, and a Gaussian Blur around the border.
