Working with blend modes

- [Instructor] In this movie, we're going to take a look at working with blend modes inside of Adobe Premiere Pro. I'm here in my chapter 3_1 sequence. To see how blend modes work, one way that we could apply them to a clip is to make a copy of a clip and then under the opacity settings, select the blend mode that we would like to apply. In this case, I'm going to option click the clip on V1, dragging up to V2. I'll release the mouse and the option key and with the second clip selected, I'm going to press shift + 5 to bring up effect controls. I'm currently in the assembly workspace, if you'd like to join me with this layout, so that's window, workspaces, assembly. Here in the settings of the video, let's twirl down the opacity settings and right under opacity are your blend mode settings. These are mathematical formulas that will look at the various pixels within your image and do something based on the value of that pixel.…
