- So we've created a hero shots timeline, we've made some simple brightness and color corrections on our hero shots. We've even created multiple versions of those shots so that we can get our client's feedback. But how do we actually go about doing that? How do we show the client these different versions of our hero shots? Well, how you do that sort of depends on whether the client's in the room with you or not. But both methods start with saving a still of the version that you're working on. What's a still? Well, a still is a DaVinci Resolve term for saving a visual representation of the shot that you're working on. But the cool thing about stills is that they also contain the component color corrections of your grade, so you can apply them to other shots in your timeline. But what if you're not working in DaVinci Resolve, can you still do this? Well, maybe, it sort of depends on the tool that you're working with.
