The basics of title design
- [Nick] Over the last few years, the demands of video editors have gone through the roof. No longer do video editors just have to edit a piece, but are responsible for effects, color correction and adding motion graphics and beautifully designed titles, as well. Since a video editor's projects are usually due yesterday in fast paced environments, learning some of the fundamentals might go overlooked. For instance, sometimes you may be forced to animate typography without an understanding of what attracts people to certain animation. In this course, we'll look at the basics of type design and animation for video editors. With my certifications in Avid, Adobe and Apple video editing applications, along with my extensive experience in post-production, I'm gonna show you the basics of title design so that you can start to think about type in creative and expressive ways. I'm Nick Harauz and excited for you to follow us as we get ready to design titles that fit the themes of your project or brand, as well has helping you take your video editing skills one step further with the essentials.
