- [Narrator] There are several things you want to keep in mind when it comes to contrast with type design in video. The first thing that I'll draw your attention to here in this chapter one underscore five sequence is, is there enough color differentiation between the colors that's in your video image and where the text appears over top of it the reason that people place credits or white credits over black is because of that extreme contrast nature and in this case we want to make sure that our text is legible. So the first rule of text legibility happens to be is there enough contrast between your type the chosen color of your type and the background of your image. Contrast goes a lot further than that though. And your next level it can actually be seen here in this lower third, and that is potentially contrast between two different lines of text so here we have a lower third. And in this lower third this happens to be one type face but two different fonts. So this is a Proxima Nova…
