The multi-camera process

- While the primary focus of this course is on the actual editing side of things, I'd like to take a moment to just explain the multi-camera process and what it means from a production point of view. With multi-camera productions, you really need to plan for the shoot. And there are lots of things to think about, including camera position, number of angles, and much more. You also need to address Timecode issues early on. Do you have the ability to synchronize all of the cameras? Or can they be set to something like a satellite clock using the mobile app on your smartphone that pairs with the camera? Or are you going to deal with sync another way? Color management is also really important. You want to make sure that the camera stay consistent. So there's a lot of danger if you have auto-white balance turned on.
